close与closely用作副词时区别

1. 用于本义，表示“接近地”“挨近地”“紧紧地”，两者都可用。close 通常放在动词之后，但在过去分词之前要用 closely。如：
He was standing close to the door. 他靠门站着。
We followed close [closely] behind him. 我们紧跟在他后面。
We were so closely packed in the elevator that I could hardly move. 我们在电梯里紧紧地挤在一起，我几乎不能动弹。
2. 用于引申义，表示“仔细地”或“紧密地”，通常用 closely。可放在动词之后或之前，或过去分词之前。如：
She listened closely while he read. 他读时她仔细听着。
He closely studied this problem. 他仔细研究过这个问题。
The two events are closely connected. 这两件事有着紧密的联系。
